Mission Statement of the School of Law

The School of Law is dedicated to fostering excellence in legal education, scholarship, and practice. Our mission is to produce highly competent and ethically grounded legal professionals equipped with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to address contemporary legal challenges and contribute to the advancement of justice and the rule of law.

Departments:

Commercial Law

The Commercial Law department is committed to providing students with a comprehensive understanding of commercial transactions, business law, and corporate governance. Through rigorous academic programs and practical experiences, students are prepared to navigate the complexities of commercial law practice and contribute to the growth and sustainability of businesses.

Private Law

Private Law encompasses the study of relationships between individuals, including contracts, property rights, and torts. This department provides students with a deep understanding of civil law principles and the legal framework governing private interactions. Students learn to navigate legal disputes and advocate for the rights and interests of individuals.

Public Law

Public Law explores the relationship between individuals and the state, including constitutional law, administrative law, and human rights law. Through rigorous coursework and experiential learning opportunities, students gain insight into the legal mechanisms that govern public institutions and uphold democratic principles.

Sharia and Civil Law

The Sharia and Civil Law department offers a unique perspective on legal studies, integrating principles of Islamic law with civil law traditions. Students engage in comparative legal analysis, exploring the intersections between religious and secular legal systems. The department prepares students to navigate legal issues within diverse cultural and religious contexts.”
